What
is it?
A one-day highly interactive
workshop that provides participants with models, tools and examples for
handling training requests from a "performance" perspective.
Participants practice performance consulting skills in small groups with
guidance and coaching. The Front-End Analysis (FEA) workshop manual is
a comprehensive reference complete with job aids and examples to support
participants as they conduct front-end analyses back on the job.
Who
should attend?
Those who
handle training requests and who have little or no formal training in
playing a performance consulting role with their internal and/or external
clients.
What
are the seminar objectives?
Participants acquire
the basic skills to analyze and document a request for training and prescribe
suitable performance interventions.
Upon completing the workshop,
participants are able to:

engineering principles
- Name the key elements of
a human performance system within a work environment and describe their
interactions
- Name and explain the major
steps for engineering effective performance
- Complete and document a
front-end analysis using a set of job aids

What
training methods are used?
This one-day workshop
is highly interactive and experiential. It includes a wide range of instructional
techniques. Participants practice what is taught in the workshop and receive
feedback on their efforts. During the workshop, participants have the
opportunity to apply a front-end analysis to a real world

are the seminar instructors?
The instructors are experienced, professional performance consultants,
instructional designers and trainers with strong academic backgrounds.
They have conducted the Front-End Analysis (FEA) workshop numerous
times with consistently proven results.
Instructors have many years
of experience in training and development research, teaching and consulting
with business and industry. They have written and produced a variety of
instructional materials as well as numerous books and articles on performance
technology, performance consulting and training design. HSA instructors
have won awards for their work in the field of instructional and performance
technology.
What
is the seminar's background?
This workshop was developed and tested over a four-year period in business
and industry. Seminar evaluation results and follow-up data are available
as are client references. Front-End Analysis is also available
in French.
